Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental care, educate them on oral health, and assist the dental team in delivering exceptional services. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical records and conducting initial evaluations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient treatments and maintain accurate medical records using Dentrix or similar systems. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Assist in the management of patient flow and ensure a comfortable environment for all patients. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting to the dentist for review. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and incorporate them into patient care. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, general dentistry, and pediatric dentistry principles. Experience with patient care systems, including Dentrix or similar software, is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient service. Attention to detail in documentation review and treatment planning processes. Previous experience assisting in a dental setting is a plus but not required.
