Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and performing necessary diagnostic tests. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices to enhance patient care. Skills Proficient in using dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Experience in pediatric dentistry and chairside assisting is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes. Ability to perform medical imaging as needed for patient assessments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
