Job Overview We are a small, privately owned family practice seeking a part- time Dental Hygienist to join our growing team! Flexible scheduling and hours are available. Rate of pay is $55-60 per hour with additional production incentives. Available benefits include PTO, holiday pay, dental benefits for employee and family, short-term disability and life insurance. Our office is modern and fully digital, including patient records and radiographs. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants in various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics. Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices. Experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Open Dental, is desirable.
