Responsibilities include assisting with infection control by properly sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, as well as maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to support optimal care. Support the dentist during procedures by ensuring patient comfort, readiness, and smooth workflow. Prepare and organize all necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for patient appointments. Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with safety standards and protocols. Monitor, track, and order clinical supplies to ensure the practice remains fully stocked and organized. Accurately record treatment information and update patient records in a timely manner.
