Union, NJ | Emerald Dental Spa Emerald Dental Spa is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to support hygiene department in a modern general dental practice in Union, NJ. This role is essential to maintaining efficient patient flow in our assisted hygiene model and is best suited for someone who enjoys clinical support, organization, and patient interaction. Responsibilities Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) Sterilization and infection control procedures Turn over hygiene operatories between patients efficiently Assist with seating and dismissing patients Support hygienists in maintaining smooth, timely patient flow Help ensure hygiene schedule runs efficiently in a double-column system Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked operatories Requirements Active NJ X-ray certification (required) Prior dental assisting or clinical dental experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with 2 operatories Strong attention to detail and reliability Positive, patient-friendly communication skills Team-oriented mindset Compensation & Benefits $20â$24/hour depending on experience Part-time position (Mondays & Thursdays 8:30AM-7PM) Supportive, modern clinical environment with clear systems and workflow Opportunity for long-term growth within the practice About Our Office Emerald Dental Spa is a modern general practice focused on high-quality dentistry, efficiency, and patient comfort.
