Dental Hygienist Wednesdays 8am - 1pm - Elegant Smiles - Rolling Meadows, IL

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist working Wednesday mornings! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental hygiene, combined with your passion for promoting oral health, will help us maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Patient hours Wednesday 8am to 1pm If you are interested in Saturdays, we also do have Saturday availability 8am - 1pm a couple times a month Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and evaluating oral health status. Operate computer programs including Dentrix, Dexis, and intra-oral photos Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix Adhere to infection prevention management protocols by practicing proper sterilization of instruments. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal clinical outcomes in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure. Proven experience in dental office environments Proficiency in Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation. Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team. Preferred Nitrous oxide certificate (used rarely at our office) Laser certificate - every hygiene operatory is equipped with a laser Join us in providing outstanding dental care where your expertise makes a difference!
