Responsibilities: Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and implant surgery Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients Take dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience Prepare setups for specific dental procedures Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Dentrix software Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns Be prepared for the day by going over daily huddle with team Order supplies for practice in coordination with doctor Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is a MUST Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Dental radiography Dexis Strong knowledge of Dentrix software Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Experience in dental surgery a plus Has a proven record of being reliable and professional About Us: Dental Expressions is a trusted dental practice proudly serving the Bayside, NY community with comprehensive, high-quality dental care.We have been in the community for over 25 yrs.
