Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and supplies for dental procedures Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments and managing patient comfort Take and develop diagnostic radiology images as needed for accurate diagnosis Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Sterilize and organize dental tools and equipment in compliance with health standards Support patients through appointment scheduling, answering questions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Skills Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and general healthcare practices Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management systems such as EMR/EHR software Knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures used in dentistry and related imaging techniques Ability to handle manual tasks such as sterilization, instrument handling, and patient positioning safely (manual handling) Basic life support (BLS) certification and CPR training to respond effectively in emergencies Critical care experience or acute care background enhances ability to manage urgent situations confidently Familiarity with surgical procedures, including plastic surgery or other specialized treatments when applicable This role is paid and offers a rewarding environment where your skills make a real difference in patientsâ lives.
