Job Responsibilities: Conduct oral health assessments, including oral cancer screenings and periodontal diseases. Perform thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, calculus, and stains. Take review dental x-rays and intraoral camera (can be taught as well as pan/CBCT) Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride, as well as medicaments like Arestin. Assist the dentist with patient examinations and conduct follow-up treatment as directed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health. Document patient dental history and maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes. Adhere to all infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines including sterilization of personal instruments. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelors in Hygiene from an Accredited Program (Required) Current Michigan Registered Dental Hygiene License (Required) Local Anesthetic and Nitrous Oxide Certification (Preferred) The ideal candidate has the following characteristics: · Prompt, works well as a team, can multitask, excellent communication skills, dedication to quality care and education, positive attitude.
