Medical Leave Coverage for Licensed Dental Assistant September-November 2026 - Nicollet Mall Dental Arts, PLLC - Minneapolis, MN

This position is temporary while our dental assistant is out on Medical Leave. Coverage begins Monday, Sept 14th and would last approximately 8 weeks, possibly more if she needs. Nicollet Mall Dental Arts is a fun, energetic, and well-established dental practice in the historic Medical Arts Building. We are a small dental practice and are looking for our newest team member! Lots of lunch options and shops throughout the skyways, very easy to get lunchtime exercise! Easy access to many health care providers in the building and a cute Farmer’s market in the Summer down the block. We love making our patient’s appointments an enjoyable experience and hope you do too! We use Eaglesoft software and will gladly train you if you do not have experience with this. Hours include NO FRIDAYS OR WEEKENDS: Monday-Thursday (4 days/week, about 32-34 hours/week)! We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
