We are a small, general dental practice with loyal, friendly patients located in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco. If you are seeking a position with room for advancement, our dental office is looking for a professional & kind dental assistant to join our friendly team. Our office hours are from 9am-6pm Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and also 1 Saturday a month. Our office location has ample street parking & is along multiple muni lines. Initial Duties include but are not limited to: Welcoming, checking in and seating patients, ensuring their comfort Help maintain a clean and welcoming office environment Help prepare room for patient care & procedures Document treatment information for patient record Facilitate communication between front office and providers to ensure timely and orderly patient flow. Chair side assistance Help maintain dental supply inventory Front desk tasks, such as Checking out patients, Help relay phone calls, Insurance verification, Assist with dental specialist referral, etc Intermediate Duties include but are not limited to: Help prepare instruments to be sterilized Take impressions of patients’ teeth and pour up models Help maintain equipment Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Provide oral hygiene instructions & post-operative care instructions Sterilize instruments; Operate and maintain autoclaves. Handling patient requests Advanced Duties include but are not limited to: Make temporaries Perform coronal polishing Qualifications: A positive attitude to help our patients Ability to be a team player and multi-task, helping when needed Pays attention to detail Honest and Trustworthy Comfortable on the phone and interacting with patients. Ability to follow written protocols and prioritize tasks.
