Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Administrator to help ensure the smooth daily operation of our front office, including scheduling, insurance coordination, billing support, treatment plan communication, and patient communication. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, warm, professional, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This position offers growth potential and may develop into a Practice Operations Manager role for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Welcome patients and answer phone calls in a warm, professional manner. Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, recall, and last-minute schedule changes. Maintain hygiene and doctor schedules for multiple clinicians to help the office run efficiently. Support billing, insurance claims, benefit estimates, and claim follow-up. Communicate treatment plans, estimated insurance benefits, and patient financial arrangements. Collect patient payments at the time of service. Educate patients on dental insurance benefits. Manage patient communication by phone, email, mail, and other correspondence. Handle patient concerns professionally and in real time. Track office supplies and place orders as needed. Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to support excellent patient care. Follow established office systems and suggest improvements to leadership when appropriate. Support office performance goals while maintaining an excellent patient experience. Cross-train in all front office responsibilities to serve as backup, including scheduling, insurance, financial coordination, and treatment coordination. Qualifications Required: Positive, professional attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work with limited supervision Prior dental front office, office administrator, customer service, or related experience Comfort discussing treatment plans, insurance estimates, and financial arrangements Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Preferred: Familiarity with dental software, such as Dentrix 3+ years of dental office experience 2+ years of leadership or team lead experience Associate degree in business or a related field Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Work Location: In person
