Pediatric Dental Assistant/Front Desk - RVO Pediatric Dentistry - Henrico, VA

We are a small, close-knit pediatric dental practice looking for a part-time dental assistant who is interested in joining our team - our primary goal is to provide a fun, positive dental experience for our young patients! We are seeking a team member whom also has experience in or is interested in learning front desk responsibilities. Located in family-friendly Short Pump, VA, we have designed our practice to be a dental home where all kids feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. We are looking for an individual who values strong work ethic, open communication, and a passion for working with kids. Dental assisting experience is preferred. CPR and X-ray certification required. Pediatric dental assistant roles and responsibilities: - Helping achieve a positive dental experience for our patients and their families - Assisting the doctor in hygiene and restorative procedures - Assisting with procedures using nitrous oxide - Taking x-rays - Review pre- and post-operative instructions with parents - Set-up and break-down treatment areas - Sterilization duties - Stock dental supplies - Administrative tasks - i.e., answering patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, taking payments - Light insurance responsibilities - i.e. verifying insurance eligibility/benefits, reviewing estimates Job Type: Part-time Medical Specialty: Pediatrics Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Henrico, VA 23233 (Required) Work Location: In person
