Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Part Time position is currently for Monday, Wednesday, Fridays and some Saturdays. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for accurate impressions and diagnostics. Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records. Perform basic dental coding for insurance purposes. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed. Provide support in various specialties, including implant dentistry. Operate dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient information and appointments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with dental clinic operations and procedures is advantageous. Knowledge of general dentistry practices, as well as specialties like invisilign and implant dentistry, is a plus. Experience with dental coding will be beneficial for managing insurance claims. Proficiency in using dental technology, including 3D scanners, is desirable.
