Now Hiring: Tier 2 New Patient/Pedo Dental Assistant Sanders Family Dental Pay range of $20–$22/hour, based on experience, certification, and qualifications Schedule Monday–Thursday: 7:45 AM team huddle – 5:00 PM Friday: 7:45 AM team huddle – 1:00 PM 1-hour lunch Full-time position Sanders Family Dental is looking for a skilled, patient-focused Tier 2 New Patient/Pedo Dental Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This position is a great fit for a dental assistant who has a strong foundation in chairside assisting and is ready to take on more responsibility with new patient records, pediatric support, advanced imaging, digital scanning, and clinical team flow. We are looking for someone who is positive, dependable, detail-oriented, and confident working with both adults and children. What You’ll Do As a Tier 2 New Patient/Pedo Dental Assistant, you will support new patient appointments, pediatric care, advanced radiographs, iTero scanning, room turnover, procedure setup, patient education, and assistant team support. Daily responsibilities may include: Supporting the new patient experience by helping gather complete and accurate records Assisting with pediatric cleanings and patient flow Taking high-quality radiographs, panoramic images, FMX, and supporting CBCT imaging Taking efficient iTero scans with complete, accurate images Assisting with routine and advanced procedures Fabricating temporary crowns, bleach trays, Essix retainers, and supporting nightguard delivery when trained Preparing for endodontic, implant, and IV sedation procedures after appropriate training Providing digital post-op instructions to patients Helping room patients and turn over rooms to keep the clinical team on schedule Supporting entry-level assistants with clinical questions, imaging, and room setup when appropriate What We’re Looking For The right candidate will be: Patient-focused and comfortable communicating with adults and children Detail-oriented and committed to accurate records and documentation Efficient while still maintaining quality and patient comfort Positive, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable learning new technology and clinical systems Willing to support other assistants and help maintain smooth clinical flow Professional in communication, attitude, and patient interaction Requirements Dental assisting experience required Dental radiography certification/license required Coronal polishing certification preferred or required for advancement within this tier Strong understanding of sterilization, infection control, and OSHA/HIPAA expectations Ability to take accurate dental radiographs and support clinical documentation Experience with new patient records, pediatric patients, iTero, CBCT, or 3D printing is a plus Why Join Sanders Family Dental?
