Overview: We are currently looking for a motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team part-time on Thursdays and Fridays. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. This position requires travel to our Glenwood, Carbondale, and Basalt locations; however, carpooling with the team is available. Our benefits package includes an IRA, a fuel stipend, a bonus system, and free orthodontic treatment. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Your primary responsibilities will include: Clinical Duties: - Assisting with procedures such as adjustments, bonding, and braces removal. - Placing new wires and o-ties, using high-speed instruments, and delivering retainers. - Taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and clinical photos. - Performing laboratory tasks like pouring models and fabricating retainers. - Monitoring patient vital signs and ensuring comfort and safety. Patient Care and Documentation: - Maintaining accurate patient records and progress notes. - Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Office and Sterilization: - Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments. - Assisting with scheduling, patient flow, and inventory management.
