Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Assist orthodontists during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and materials in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Take and develop dental x-rays, including digital imaging and Digital Teeth scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and updating medical documentation Experience Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting with a focus on orthodontics or general dentistry Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques including digital radiography and Digital scanning technology Understanding of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry environments for enhanced patient comfort and workflow productivity Strong communication skills to educate patients effectively about their treatment plans and oral health practices Certification in radiography or x-ray licensing preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are advantageous Join us in delivering outstanding orthodontic care by combining technical expertise with compassionate patient service.
