Dental Hygienist - Avenue Dental Studio - Denver, CO

We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team three days per week. In this role, you will provide exceptional preventive dental care while helping patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a comfortable, positive experience for patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient education, has strong clinical skills, and enjoys working collaboratively with dentists and team members to deliver high-quality care. Responsibilities Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before treatment Review medical and dental histories and perform initial oral health assessments Conduct periodontal charting and identify conditions such as gingivitis, dental caries, and periodontal disease Perform professional dental cleanings, including plaque and calculus removal Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride when appropriate Take digital dental X-rays and impressions as needed Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Provide post-treatment instructions following dental procedures Assist the dentist in diagnosing oral conditions and developing treatment plans Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Monitor and restock clinical supplies as needed Qualifications Current Dental Hygienist license in good standing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Previous clinical experience preferred Strong knowledge of infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations Experience with digital X-rays and electronic dental records Excellent communication and patient education skills Friendly, compassionate, and professional chairside manner Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical stamina to perform the duties of the position What We're Looking For We value team members who are caring, dependable, and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
