Registered Dental Hygienist - Lake District Family Dentistry - Alexandria, LA

We are looking to add 1 -3 part-time or temporary Dental Hygienists to our team in a 3 doctor private practice. Flexible days/ options available! We are specifically searching for team members with great work ethics, who are professional and positive. We focus on the patients’ oral health as well as their overall health and are interested in hygienists who will do the same! We are open to hiring multiple part-time candidates or temp fill ins who just want to pick up shifts. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible and make genuine connections with our patients Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Provide appropriate hygiene treatment for each patient Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques and existing dental disease Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with discussing appropriate treatments for various diseases / conditions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Participate in team events and education Proficiently treat gum and periodontal disease as needed Skills License / Degree as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Follows proper OSHA standards Outstanding communication skills A patient, caring, positive and professional personality Attention to detail and pursuit of excellence Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $300.00 - $450.00 per day Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Work Location: In person
