Dental Hygienist — Part-Time (Wednesdays) Windsor Progressive Dental Care — Windsor, CT Position Overview Windsor Progressive Dental Care, an established, patient-focused family dental practice in Windsor, CT, is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team one day per week, Wednesdays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking for a steady, predictable part-time schedule with the potential for growth — additional days may become available, including coverage for a maternity leave beginning this fall, with the possibility of transitioning into a more permanent multi-day role. Schedule Every Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Additional days available starting in the fall for maternity leave coverage Potential for a permanent increase in days for the right candidate Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing for patients of all ages Take and process dental X-rays as needed Conduct oral health assessments and screen for signs of periodontal disease, decay, and oral cancer Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with practice protocols Work collaboratively with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care Adhere to all infection control, sterilization, and OSHA safety standards Provide a warm, welcoming experience consistent with our family-oriented practice culture Qualifications Active Connecticut Dental Hygiene license (or eligibility to obtain one) Current CPR certification Associate's degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Prior experience in a family or general dental practice preferred Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with patients of all ages, including children Proficiency with dental software Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team What We Offer Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience A supportive, low-turnover team environment Flexibility with potential to expand hours/days based on practice needs and hygienist interest Modern equipment and a well-organized, patient-centered office To Apply Please submit your resume and Connecticut hygiene license number to Naomi, Office Manager, at naomi@windsorprogressivedentalcare.com.
