Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Surprise, AZ

Overview Looking for an experienced dental assistant. Our office uses Dentrix, we scan using the trios system and making temporary crowns will be an important part of each day. Were looking for someone that is patient focused and team suportive. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, abd Oral surgery procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and other relevant patient information using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient records accurately within electronic health records (EHR) platforms such as Epic or Dentrix Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and OSHA guidelines Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information Practice four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times Experience Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is required Familiarity with dental software Dentrix. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical documentation practices Certification in X-ray techniques and infection control protocols is required or preferred Ability to perform chairside assisting with proficiency in vital signs measurement and medical imaging techniques Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards within a dental environment This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the dental field for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
