As a Dental Assistant II, you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional clinical care while helping create a calm, positive, and engaging experience for every child and family who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Assist the pediatric dentist during preventive, restorative, emergency, and surgical dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing supplies, and ensuring operatories are fully equipped before each appointment. Take high-quality digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and other diagnostic images while following all radiation safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation within our electronic dental record system (Archy experience preferred). Follow OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection control standards, including proper instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection. Comfort children throughout their appointments using positive behavior guidance, patience, and compassionate communication. Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, fluoride, and preventive dental care. Assist with patient flow to help maintain an efficient schedule while providing outstanding customer service. Monitor inventory and notify leadership when clinical supplies need replenishment. Support a positive, collaborative culture by working closely with both the clinical and administrative teams. Qualifications Current North Carolina Dental Assistant II certification Current CPR certification Coronal polishing preferred Previous pediatric dental experience preferred Digital radiography certification Experience using dental software (Archy experience is a plus) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining clinical excellence We're Looking for Someone Who...
