In this role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, communicate with patients and their parents, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. We are looking for a dependable, caring, and clinically minded Dental Assistant to help create calm, positive experiences for keiki, parents, and adult patients. We are a growing practice and would love for you to grow with us! This is currently a core weekend role with additional days in the future. We welcome experienced dental assistants as well as motivated applicants who are excited to begin a career in dentistry through a structured, paid training pathway. Compensation Experienced Dental Assistant : $22â$26/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skills Dental Assistant Trainee : $19â$22/hour during structured training Weekend differential : Additional $1/hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts $500 retention bonus after successfully completing 90 days of employment What You Will Do Assist dentists during pediatric and general dental procedures using four-handed dentistry, which includes but is not limited to preventive and restorative care, extractions, orthodontics, emergency care, and endodontics. Help children and caregivers feel safe and comfortable through calm, age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance techniques Provide developmentally appropriate dental health education and post-operative instructions as needed Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and patient records for each appointment Maintain excellent sterilization, infection-prevention, and operatory-turnover standards Take digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and scans Help maintain high safety protocols during sedation treatments and provide support with special needs appointments Support accurate charting in electronic dental record, treatment flow, supplies, and team coordination Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming clinical environment Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks efficiently. What We Are Looking For Reliable availability for a regular FridayâSunday schedule A warm, respectful, patient-centered approachâespecially with children and families Clear and effective communication with an empathetic and patient-centered focus Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work well on a close-knit team Ability to multi-task and remain calm under a fast-paced clinical environment Willing to learn, accept feedback, and grow with the practice Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed Preferred, But Not Required Chairside dental-assisting and operating room experience Pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, sterilization, and customer-service experience Experience with digital radiographs, intraoral scanning, and dental software Current BLS/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it with practice support Dental assisting coursework, DANB credentials, or additional language skills Interest in building systems for a growing dental practice What We Offer A predictable three-day schedule with weekdays free.
