As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our orthodontist throughout the treatment journey. You'll help create an exceptional patient experience while contributing to a welcoming and efficient clinical environment. Schedule (days/hours): Monday 11:30 to 6:30 Tuesday 8 to 5 Wednesday 8 to 5:30 Thursday 10 to 7 Responsibilities: Handle all bracket adjustments Prep and finish all bonds after doctor places brackets and other appliances Handle all aligners along with other procedures Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic procedures. Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures. Take digital radiographs, photographs, and intraoral scans as needed. Change archwires, ligatures, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations. Provide patients and families with oral hygiene instructions and appliance care education. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols. Accurately document patient treatment and update electronic health records. Manage inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and organized. Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience. Qualifications: Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date) Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of orthodontic experience Compensation: $26-$30/hour About: Benefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off (“PTO”), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.
