Job Summary Ankeny Dental Professionals is seeking an upbeat, motivated, and professional Dental Hygienist to join our practice. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, strong team player, comfortable scheduling patient's dental hygiene appointments, desire to learn and grow. A strong candidate would be comfortable discussing dental needs and helping to educate patients on the importance of dental care. Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including full range of cleanings from prophy to SRP, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride and sealants - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care - Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care Skills: - Valid dental hygiene license in Iowa - Proficiency in using dental software systems - Excellent communication skills - Ability to discuss treatment needs and educate a patient on the importance of care - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals We look forward to you joining our team of dedicated professionals!
