Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office and supporting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Assist dentists in oral and IV sedation procedures. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory. Manage patient records and dental documentation while complying with HIPAA regulations. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on post-operative care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and prosthodontics is beneficial. Familiarity with electronic dental software such as Patterson Eaglesoft is required. Strong understanding of dental records management and documentation practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing excellent patient care.
