Duties Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing advanced orthodontic techniques and appliances such as braces, aligners, and retainers. Perform procedures related to dental fabrication, including fitting and adjusting orthodontic devices for optimal results. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists in areas like oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to ensure understanding and compliance. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures to guarantee patient safety. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization in orthodontics or certification as an Orthodontist. Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices with a focus on orthodontic treatments. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis processes. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and experience treating pediatric patients is preferred. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other general dentistry procedures as needed. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and delivering compassionate service within a team environment.
