Job Summary Join our dynamic pediatric dental and orthodontic team as a dental assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive, comfortable experience for young patients and their families. In this vital role, you will support the delivery of high-quality dental and orthodontic care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and helping our patients and their families have a positive experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental treatments, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, and various dental and orthodontic treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining patient safety standards Manage patient records Monitor vital signs of pediatric patients before and during treatment to ensure safety and comfort Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and infection prevention management protocols to uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with a focus on pediatric dentistry or orthodontics preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures specific to pediatrics Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dolphin Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in coronal polishing, N2O, and sealants is preferred Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal patient care Knowledge of dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management practices Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, team members, and healthcare professionals Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact childrenâs health while working in a vibrant team dedicated to excellence.
