Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented sterilization technician/hygiene assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, excellent patient interaction abilities, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for sterilization and assisting our hygiene team, while also having the opportunity to assist our doctors with four-handed dentistry as needed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinic while providing exceptional support to our dentists and patients. Responsibilities Sterilizing and disinfecting treatment rooms and instruments. Taking digital radiographs (x-rays) Assisting hygienists with periodontal charting and patient turnover Polishing and flossing Performing child prophies (including oral hygiene instructions) Setting up operatories for various procedures Assisting doctors with four-handed dentistry as needed Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area. Taking and pouring up dental impressions. Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring their comfort. Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment. Qualifications Current x-ray certification required. Dental assisting training is strongly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Team player with a positive attitude. A passion for learning and growing in the dental field. Schedule Full-time: 34 hours per week. Monday - Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $18 - $22 per hour . 401(k) with employer contribution. Health insurance with employer contribution. Paid time off. Holiday pay.
