Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, orthodontics, and oral surgeries. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays. Diagnose dental conditions accurately using comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis protocols. Develop personalized treatment plans that align with patient needs and preferences while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar systems. Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care instructions. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient flow and optimal care delivery. Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education related to pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and other specialties. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry with eligibility for licensure in our location. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental diagnosis and client communication. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to oral health assessment and treatment planning. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication processes, and other complex procedures confidently. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements for legal compliance. Excellent interpersonal skills to build trustful relationships with diverse patient populations including pediatrics.
