Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information accurately in medical documentation systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and billing processes including medical coding. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in various specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatrics. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant 2 years . Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control standards. Experience with medical documentation systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Ability to take vital signs and assist in dentistry settings. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
