Responsibilities: Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and cleanings Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort throughout treatment Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical notes in dental software Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices Requirements: Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Dental Assistant (DA) certification preferred Experience with chairside assisting in a dental office for 1 year min Radiation Safety certification and ability to take dental X-rays Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-centered demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) About Us: Surfside Dental Inc is a trusted dental practice serving the Oceanside, CA community with comprehensive, compassionate dental care.
