We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team. This position is available as temporary maternity leave coverage with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate as our practice continues to grow. Position Overview The Registered Dental Assistant is an essential part of our clinical team. You will work closely with the doctor to provide exceptional patient care while helping maintain an efficient and welcoming clinical environment. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative private practice setting. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms before each patient appointment Assist the doctor during restorative, crown and bridge, endodontic, implant, emergency, and other general dental procedures Take high-quality digital radiographs Fabricate and adjust temporary crowns when appropriate Take digital impressions and assist with digital workflows Maintain strict OSHA and CDC infection control and sterilization protocols Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral health education Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies Ensure an efficient clinical schedule while delivering an outstanding patient experience Work collaboratively with the doctor, hygienists, and front office team to provide exceptional care Qualifications Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license Current X-ray certification Current CPR certification Experience in a general dentistry private practice preferred Experience with Dentrix preferred but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care What We Offer Competitive compensation: $35–$45/hour based on experience Established private practice with an existing patient base Modern digital technology and workflow Supportive doctor and collaborative team environment 401(k) with employer matching Paid time off Employee dental benefits Continuing education and professional development opportunities Opportunity for long-term growth within the practice The Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients Takes pride in providing exceptional clinical care Is proactive, dependable, and works well as part of a team Values honesty, professionalism, and high-quality dentistry Wants to grow with a modern private practice that prioritizes patient care over production If you're looking for a practice where your skills are valued and you can make a meaningful impact on patients' lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.
