Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Jamaica, NY
Title: Dental Assistant Location: Queens, NY Specialty: Dental Assistant Contract Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: Monday â Friday 8:30 AM â 4:30 PM 35 Hours per Week Responsibilities Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments. Assist the dentist during chairside procedures. Sterilize dental instruments using an autoclave. Mix dental materials, including cements, composites, and amalgams. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Maintain dental equipment and treatment rooms. Perform assigned laboratory procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an approved Dental Assistant program (minimum 600 instructional hours), or an approved 300-hour Dental Assistant program with at least 6 months of recent dental assisting experience, or 1 year of full-time Dental Assistant experience. Experience with: Patient preparation Dental radiography Instrument sterilization Mixing dental materials Equipment maintenance Record maintenance Basic laboratory procedures Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
