Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic imaging using advanced medical imaging technology. Diagnose dental conditions accurately utilizing dental terminology and healthcare diagnosis principles. Administer treatments such as dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Utilize dental office management software like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning. Practice aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care through clear client communication. Document all procedures meticulously in medical records while adhering to medical documentation standards. Collaborate with specialists for complex cases involving pediatrics or advanced procedures such as endodontics or orthodontics. Maintain proficiency in dental fabrication techniques and stay updated on current trends in general dentistry practices. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a focus on general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Experience using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures including crowns and bridges, and oral surgeries. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques for treating young patients effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and compassionately.
