Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Post Falls, ID

Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using diagnostic radiology techniques to assist in accurate diagnosis. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, diet, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term oral health. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared efficiently. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems accurately, documenting patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes with precision. Support clinic operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Demonstrate proficiency in medical documentation and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar clinical role within a dental or healthcare setting. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology techniques used in dentistry for accurate imaging interpretation. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry, general health, and patient conditions. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, demonstrating strong client communication skills. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications in blood sampling or medical documentation are a plus.
