Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Deliver a wide range of treatments such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Utilize advanced dental software like Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Conduct patient education on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to optimize patient flow and comfort during procedures. Maintain detailed medical records, document treatment progress, and ensure adherence to all regulatory standards related to medical and dental records management. Requirements Valid state license to practice dentistry. Proven experience in general dentistry with strong skills in pediatric dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics. Familiarity with dental practice management software Open Dental. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques relevant to dental procedures. Experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with a focus on patient care and safety. Ability to perform complex procedures including endodontics and oral surgery while maintaining high standards of infection control. Strong communication skills for effective patient assessment and education across diverse populations.
