Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced General Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. You will utilize your extensive clinical expertise, including general dentistry procedures and specialized treatments, to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology and medical terminology accurately when documenting patient records and treatment plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Operate and manage dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and medical documentation purposes. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients by explaining treatment options clearly, answering questions, and providing education on oral health maintenance. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain detailed medical records including clinical notes, imaging results, treatment plans, and follow-up care documentation. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry techniques and technology to continually improve patient care quality. Ensure compliance with all healthcare diagnosis standards and dental office policies while delivering compassionate patient care. Qualifications Valid OREGON license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable. Proven experience as a general dentist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with proficiency in dental diagnosis and treatment planning. Extensive knowledge of dental procedures such as extractions, root canals, prosthodontics (crowns & bridges), orthodontics (braces & aligners), oral surgery, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implantology. Familiarity with dental software systems including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for clinical documentation and practice management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations along with state healthcare laws governing medical records management. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures in an understandable manner. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments. Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups while maintaining high standards of patient care. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry as well as medical imaging interpretation skills.
