Registered Dental Hygienist (Part-Time) – Flexible ScheduleJob Summary Scharrington Dental is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for a hygienist who can work at least two days per week , and we are flexible on which days you can cover . As a valued member of our team, you will provide exceptional preventive care, educate patients on maintaining excellent oral health, and help create a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. We pride ourselves on providing quality dentistry in a supportive and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) while following radiation safety protocols. Review medical histories and assess patients for any conditions that may affect treatment. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist the dentist with chairside procedures as needed. Accurately document clinical findings and treatment in Dentrix Ascend. Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications Current Registered Dental Hygienist license. Experience with Dentrix Ascend is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, radiography, and infection control. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Schedule We are looking for coverage at least two days per week . Our office hours are: Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Preferred Day) Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Preferred Day) Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Preferred Day) Flexible Scheduling: We understand work-life balance is important and are happy to work with your availability. If you can commit to at least two days per week, we'd love to discuss a schedule that works for both of us. 45-minute unpaid lunch on full-day schedules.
