Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing materials, and ensuring operatories are fully stocked and ready for patient care. Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols, including instrument processing, equipment maintenance, and compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures, including restorative, crown and bridge, extractions, prosthodontics, and other general dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Fabricate high-quality custom temporary crowns and bridges with attention to fit, function, and esthetics. Capture high-quality digital radiographs while following proper safety and infection control procedures. Perform intraoral digital scans using a 3D scanner for restorative, prosthetic, and diagnostic procedures. Maintain accurate patient records by updating medical histories, documenting treatment information, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, post-operative instructions, and preventive dental care. Utilize dental practice management software for charting, scheduling, treatment planning, and documentation. Assist with front office responsibilities as needed, including welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and supporting overall office flow. Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment that promotes an outstanding patient experience. Qualifications Current EFDA certification required . BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred. Previous experience in a general dentistry practice preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques. Experience taking digital radiographs and working with digital dental technology. Experience with intraoral 3D scanning is preferred or a willingness to learn. Ability to fabricate custom temporary restorations is preferred or willingness to be trained. Proficiency with dental software and electronic patient records. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset.
