Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Toothtown Dental - Orland Park - Hammond, IN

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, possess a current X-ray license, and have a passion for patient care. Key Responsibilities: Strong experience in placing and finishing composite restorations. Confident in taking impressions. Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety Assist with endodontic, oral surgery and general dentistry procedures Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment for patient care Take and process dental X-rays, following all safety protocols Help with ordering equipment/material for office Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized treatment area and operatory Record patient information and updates in dental software systems Provide excellent patient service, addressing concerns and answering questions Support the dental team with additional tasks as needed and be a team player Help with scheduling/treatment planning/reception duties if needed Requirements: Current X-ray license (required) Previous experience as a dental assistant (required) Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Join us in delivering outstanding dental care through your technical expertise and compassionate approach!
