Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Glen Burnie, MD

Hours - 30 to 35 hours per week Tuesday-Thursday 7:50 AM-5:15 PM Friday 7:50 AM-4 PM After 4 months - Mondays 7:50-2:00 PM (optional admin day) and 1 Saturday a quarter as needed (make up for snow days) Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Monitoring and filling schedule Checking eligibility for Medicaid & PPO Completing breakdowns for PPO insurances to determine if patients are required to make co-payments Calling patients if insurance is unable to be verified Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures. Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders. Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing. Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Light cleaning of reception and waiting room Skills Ability to multitask Flexible and Reliable Sound knowledge of dental terminology. Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental). Working knowledge of general administrative practices. Good telephone etiquette & computer skills. Exceptional organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills. Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous. Attention to detail High school diploma Experienced (at least 1 yr) in Dental Office required Knowledge of Dental software preferred Bilingual ( English and Spanish) Required Summary As a Bilingual Dental Receptionist, you will be essential in providing outstanding patient service and managing front desk operations. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will utilize your core skills in medical administrative support and clerical experience to handle patient inquiries, maintain medical records, and ensure efficient office operations. Your proficiency in Open Dental and customer service, along with your bilingual abilities in English and Spanish, will enhance communication with patients.
