Dental Assistant Job Listing We are looking for a part-time dental assistant that can join our team on Mondays from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Previous experience is recommended, however we are happy to train the right person for the job! Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to PA regulations Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene education and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Take digital dental radiographs for patients Schedule appointments and take phone calls for patients if needed Skills Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA, assisting with dental implant procedures) Experience Although having at least 1 year of experience is recommended, we are happy to have anyone on our team with a positive attitude who is eager to learn. License/Certification Proof of X-ray certification will be needed within 90 days from start of employment.
