Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Philadelphia, PA

Weâre a small, relationship-focused pediatric dental office looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers an amazing work/life balance with a unique, predictable schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and two Fridays a month. What Youâll Do Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of pediatric clinical procedures. Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with safety protocols. Build trust and positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring a calm, reassuring, and kid-friendly clinical experience. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as instructed by the doctor. Educate patients and parents on post-operative care and positive oral hygiene habits. Collaborate closely with the doctor and team to deliver excellent, unhurried care. What Weâre Looking For X-ray certification / Dental Assisting license (as required by state regulations). A gentle, patient-centered approachâespecially with children and anxious patients. Strong communication skills with both kids and parents. A positive, team-first attitude with strong organizational skills. Someone who values education, prevention, and whole-health dentistry. Pediatric experience is preferred , but we are happy to support and train the right person if they have the ideal attitude and passion for working with children.
