Experienced Dental Assistant - Elevate Dental - Seattle, WA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role requires proficiency in various dental software systems, including EMR systems, Open Dental, and Dentiview, as well as the ability to assist with chairside procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when necessary. Perform vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging when required. Uphold infection control standards and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including assisting in prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialized treatments. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Open Dental and Eaglesoft. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while managing multiple tasks. Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records management, and coding practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
