Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately in patient records Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed Provide postoperative instructions and answer patient questions to ensure comfort and understanding Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for all Skills Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional regulations Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, tools, and materials Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and reassure patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments Proficiency in digital radiography systems and electronic health record (EHR) software is preferred Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices Join us in creating healthier smiles every day!
