Hours 2 Fridays per Month, 8am-5pm Compensation $1500/day daily guarantee Bonus compensation based on orthodontic starts/finishes Responsibilities Assess patients’ orthodontic needs through comprehensive examinations and dental imaging, utilizing knowledge of dental anatomy and medical terminology. Develop personalized treatment plans for orthodontic correction, including braces, aligners, and other appliances, ensuring alignment with best practices in oral surgery and prosthodontics. Perform dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other general dentistry services as needed to support orthodontic treatment plans. Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, including proper oral hygiene techniques related to orthodontic appliances. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure aseptic technique during procedures and uphold strict infection control standards. Use dental office software Open Dental for scheduling, record keeping, and treatment documentation. Stay current with advancements in orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and related fields to provide innovative care options. Qualifications Valid state licensure as an Orthodontist with certification in orthodontics; additional certification in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is a plus. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment with a focus on orthodontics or pediatric dentistry. Proficiency with dental terminology, medical imaging techniques, and dental fabrication processes. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance standards. Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient practice management. Ability to perform dental procedures including extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, and prosthodontics confidently. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when necessary.
