Job description Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Take and record vital signs of patients - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records - Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - Current certification in dental assisting preferred - Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software - Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment - Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Understanding of medical documentation, including medical coding and recordkeeping - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients - Ability to work well as part of a team This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team.
