Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fort Lee, NJ

Grace Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Part-Time Orthodontic Records Assistant/Dental Assistant to join our growing family-oriented practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, teens, and families and wants to grow in orthodontics. Experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. About the Role As the first clinical team member our new patients meet, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and comfortable experience. You will assist our orthodontists by collecting diagnostic records, preparing treatment areas, maintaining sterilization protocols, and accurately documenting clinical findings. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare new patients for orthodontic consultations. Take orthodontic diagnostic records, including photographs, digital scans, and panoramic/cephalometric radiographs (training provided if needed). Assist the orthodontist during examinations and consultations. Record clinical notes and doctor dictation accurately. Set up trays and treatment rooms for patient care. Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments according to OSHA and infection control standards. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Help ensure each patient receives an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. Qualifications Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working with children, teens, and adults. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dental assisting experience preferred but not required . Willingness to learn orthodontic procedures and techniques.
