Dental Assistant preferably with x-ray license - Phillip Dental - Freehold, NJ

We are looking for a competent dental assistant who is pleasant and welcoming to patients, possesses a cheerful countenance and positive demeanor that will reduce patient's anxieties. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and do administrative and basic dental tasks such as registering new patients using the office portal and checks patients have filled out their medical forms properly prior to intake them for diagnostics steps including taking panoramic x-rays and 3D scans. Dental assistants should be well-organized, friendly with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office protocols. We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care. We do a lot of surgical procedures and expect you to be comfortable assisting but we will train you if you desire to learn and excel as a surgical assistant. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures if needed.
